      <image:caption>Born and raised in Kentucky, Kendra received her MFA in Creative Writing from Fairfield University. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in The Louisville Review, Gyroscope Review, Poetry South, and elsewhere. She is a finalist for the Frederick Smock Poetry Prize. Kendra has been dancing in the New York salsa scene since 2013, performing and competing across the east coast with BAILA Society, Irôko Dance Company, and Karel Flores. In 2017, she placed 2nd at the World Salsa Summit in Pro-Am Cabaret. She lives in New York City.</image:caption>
